Forged wheels are relatively easy to damage parts. According to the characteristics of driving, the wheel tread is required to have higher hardness, and a certain depth of hardened layer and transition layer (depth of hardened layer > 1.2mm, hardness HRC40-48), in order to improve the bearing capacity, wear resistance and The performance of anti-contact fatigue. For this reason, many manufacturers of road wheels have to carry out a quenching process after the road wheels are forged.

Since wheels generally require quenching depth > 1.2mm, we often recommend our super-audio frequency induction hardening equipment for its quenching. After quenching by the equipment, the hardness of the wheel reaches HRC40-48, which meets the production requirements, and what's more, the quality and service life have been greatly improved.

The entire control system of our ultra-audio induction hardening equipment is digitally integrated, and various protection actions are fast. The main component of the inverter is IGBT, so the equipment rarely fails and has a relatively long service life. When it performs quenching heat treatment on the wheel, since the sensor is customized according to the specifications of the driving wheel, we can choose different quenching methods according to the size of the wheel and the quenching position, such as overall quenching, local quenching, scanning quenching, etc. The wheel quenching in the above picture is scanning quenching, which was sent to us by the customer.
