Quenching treatment of collets by medium frequency induction heating machine

Quenching treatment of collets by medium frequency induction heating machine

Spring collet is a kind of cylindrical fixture. It is mainly used to fix workpieces that need to be modified, such as: milling cutters, drills, etc. Spring collets are made of high-quality alloy steel and are generally used in holes equipped with machine tool spindles. Through the use of collets, the accuracy and quality of part processing can be increased. And because the collet has to bear a lot of friction during use, the hardness and strength of the collet have higher standard requirements.

After quenching the spring collet with a medium-frequency induction heating machine, the hardness and strength of the spring collet can be improved, making it harder and wear-resistant, and prolonging the usable time. Since the hardness requirements of the head, middle and tail of the collet are different, when quenching it, the induction coil should be used for local heating, which can meet the needs of processing. If the collet is directly heated as a whole, the hardness value of the middle and tail can meet the requirements, but its head does not meet the standard of hardness value.

When this equipment quenches the spring collet in sections, the heating temperature can be adjusted so that the hardness value can easily reach the standard. It is also very convenient to measure the temperature with the matching infrared thermometer. After quenching, the surface of the collet has little oxidation, no deformation, no small cracks, and the hardness is obviously enhanced. According to customer needs, special induction coils can be designed, and multiple collets can be heat treated together to ensure high-efficiency and high-quality production!
