Piston pin/piston ring hardening by super audio frequency induction hardening equipment

Piston pin/piston ring hardening by super audio frequency induction hardening equipment

The piston pin is a mechanical part used to connect the piston and the connecting rod. The piston ring is a metal ring used to insert into the groove of the piston. In practical applications, both parts need to withstand greater pressure and Friction, so both parts are required to have strong stiffness, strength and wear resistance, and the weight should be as small as possible. Therefore, in the production process of piston pin/piston ring, certain surface heat treatment process is essential.

According to our many years of experience in heat treatment, it is better to use supersonic frequency induction hardening equipment to quench the piston pin/piston ring. The frequency of super-audio frequency induction hardening equipment is higher than intermediate frequency, but lower than high frequency, generally between 10-50KHZ, and the corresponding quenching depth is 1.5-3mm.

Ultra-audio induction hardening equipment adopts a new IGBT transistor and voltage feedback series resonant circuit, which can start 99% quickly under any load, and heat the metal quickly, and the metal can be heated to 800°C within 1-2 seconds in the shortest time ~900°C (the general quenching temperature of the workpiece). For the cooling of the piston pin/piston ring, according to the actual needs, you can choose water spray cooling, water tank cooling, air cooling or air cooling, different cooling methods, different quenching layer hardness effects. Due to the high speed of induction heating, there is no oxidation and decarburization on the surface of the workpiece, and the deformation of the workpiece is small, and the quality of the quenched parts is good.
