Medium frequency quenching of platform wheel shaft using medium frequency induction heating machine

Medium frequency quenching of platform wheel shaft using medium frequency induction heating machine

Due to the low frequency, medium frequency is more suitable for induction hardening of parts with deep quenching layer. Generally, the depth of quenching layer can reach 3~10mm. The heat treatment process of the platform axle adopts our intermediate frequency induction heating machine, which can achieve satisfactory results. The previous medium-frequency quenching process of the wheel axle was generally designed as quenching and tempering treatment, machining deformation, tempering and air cooling, and then high-frequency annealing. The defect of this process plan is that the process is prosperous and the efficiency is low, which can easily cause cracking of the workpiece and waste products.

After long-term exploration and research and development by our company's technicians, and repeated experiments, we have introduced a new intermediate frequency quenching process for the platform wheel axle, that is, local high-temperature quenching and low-temperature tempering on the surface. In addition, in terms of the design of the inductor of the medium frequency induction heating machine, we have also undergone repeated experiments and finally determined that the continuous heating and cooling of the single-turn inductor can achieve better results.

Our medium frequency induction heating machine uses induction heating to heat the workpiece. The heating speed is fast. The faster heating speed can heat the workpiece to the target temperature within 2~3 seconds, so the surface of the workpiece is less oxidized and decarburized; the workpiece does not need to be heated with induction In direct contact with the device, the temperature rises evenly and the deformation is small. For the induction hardening of slender shaft parts such as the wheel axle, it can also be completed by our special CNC hardening machine.
