Carbide Tips Welded to Copper Workpiece

Induction welding is a process in which two or more materials are joined together with a filler metal by induction heating. Carbide tips can be welded to Copper workpiece by induction brazing equipment.

We use specially designed the induction coil to provide optimum heating for the joint area. So the carbide tips are welded to the copper. After establishing the time-temperature and heating profile, the desired temperature is reached in more than 40 seconds to melt the braze preform. The welding effect is very good.

Subsequent joints on the same component will require less time as heat is conducted through the workpiece. It has better joint quality because selective heating. And this induction brazing process can reduced oxidation. Brazed copper components are an excellent application for induction heating.
